Covered 4250 miles with no problems!
11 of 11 found this helpful Bought a voilamart 1000w kit 2 years ago as I moved 11 miles from work and felt I needed a boost from pedalling.
In 2 years I’ve covered 4250 miles with no motor problems, throttle cables wore through rubbing off frame, sorted with some electrical tape, easy peasy.
I’ve used all winter, in all sorts of weather, some heat shrink on cable connections keeps them water proof.
I’ve paired it with a 48v13ah battery which still seems to be going strong, and getting 11 miles on mainly just the throttle at full speed, with me weighing 16stone is impressive, going slower with pedal assist offers a lot more range.
I would recommend a 52v battery with 17.5ah for a bit more range and power.
Cruises at 30 mph no problem .
Taking into account fuel cost of driving at 10p per miles, my kit and battery had paid for itself and saved the need for a second car, if you’re thinking of getting an ebike kit, I suggest you go for it, you will not be disappointed.
Fitted into a decathlon rockrider 8.1, which has help up perfectly, which is impressive considering the mileage, speed and abuse it’s been getting .
To sum up - buy an ebike kit and save yourself waiting in queues of traffic, and have fun at the same time .
