Good only for basic use

This is my third Galaxy Grand Prime and this is the first one I've got issues with battery life and the phone getting hot. I'm able to put it in ultra power saving mode to correct the problem but stops many of the features on the phone. I did not need to do that with the other two. I have Googled this and it does seem to be a common problem with this model.
