Fantastic, if you can focus it with your telescope!
While the Barlow Lens promises to offer 2 x magnification of any standard 1.25" eyepiece, buyer beware!!!! I purchased this CELESTRON Barlow lens for my CELESTRON AstroMaster 70EQ, in a hope to gain clearer, closer views of Jupiter and Saturn, currently visible in our night sky.
Alas, upon speedy receipt of my new Barlow Lens, I quickly discovered that it is not compatible with my telescope, because it will NOT FOCUS due to there not being enough travel on my focusing mechanism. I was so close to the image coming into focus when my barrel reached it's full travel distance inwards with no more room to move.
I believe the Barlow Lens will come in handy looking at very distant stars or galaxies, but it certainly won't focus on closer objects like planets which is the whole reason I purchased it.

Definitely worth the price
The sounds quality is definitely the biggest perk. Added bonuses are drop-proof and water-proff.
