Simple device, powerful spark for what it is
3 of 3 found this helpful I assembled mine and attached it to a 4.5V battery supply, worked perfectly the first time. Assembly is simple if you have electronic assembly experience. The pictures in the listing of the assembled unit were very helpful. I only operate it for a few seconds at a time since the transistor gets warm but it could probably operate for a longer time without any problems. I’m hoping to use it to power a miniature Tesla coil so we will see.

Best batteries available
These are fantastic for powerful flashlights and lasers and whatever else. You’ll notice that they take nearly 5 times longer to charge too because they actually supply the amp-hour capacity listed unlike cheap ones! Worth the money if you have high current draw electronics.

Works great
However, my fuel gauge is off. I will have to take it back out to bend the float wand, if you buy this make sure your fuel gauge float is bent to match the old one
