Great watch, but not always the most accurate
2 of 2 found this helpful This is the first actual running watch I have bought, so I can't compare it to anything, but it exceeds my expectations. I love the bluetooth functionality with it, even if it does occasionally disconnect. Not a big deal, though.
The only negative I have is that the GPS is not always accurate. While it's more accurate than my phone when I used to use Runkeeper, it still is slightly off. I ran a half-marathon this past weekend, and noticed during the run that the watch had me about a half a mile farther than the actual distance. That's not a huge distance when it's a total of 13.1 miles, and I realize that this could be due to me not always taking the shortest route. But it kind of scared me because my target was to break two hours. I had never broken two hours in a half before, and used the target time feature on the watch (which is awesome!). But since the distance was slightly off, I also knew the pace was slightly off. I got worried that I wouldn't be able to finish in time, which may have actually helped me because I upped my pace a bit! I did finish in 1:54:34, so all was well, but I did get a little scare.
Overall, this watch is awesome and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to get my bike out and do some bricks with it, as I'm excited about how easy it is to flip from activity to activity in multisport training with the push of a button.
