This thermostat will not open in a sauspan of boiling water - tried 2 of them, useless
my top mecanic confirmed that this particular thermostat does not work,- phoned suppller they claimd that it workes under pressure when the car boils, we put it in the car it boiled and still did not open as expected. That is the second one that has failed. Unfortunately.
