Casio SK-1 Rocks
This is a great little keyboard. It's got 32 smaller scale keys making it incredibly portable. It has 8 instrument presets, 11 preset beats, a synthesize and record function, manual drums. This keyboard is fun and useful for both beginner and pro alike.

A Beautiful Disappointment
Perhaps the only thing of value that I can ascribe to this instrument is the initial 'Wow Factor'.
It twas the initial aesthetic experience, and the price. Unfortunately the phrase 'you get what
you pay for' could not be more fitting in this case
Would I recommend it? No. The main reason is a bad design and crude craftsmanship which
is not apparent at first glance. The neck is much too narrow and the strings/courses are much too close together to accommodate even a medium size hand, rendering the lute unplayable. The craftsmanship is crude, upon closer examination. There are dried lacquer drips in some places and the joinery is rough and imprecise. As I mentioned, the only redeeming quality for this instrument is aesthetics as a prop or an art object/curio.
Is it a good value? Again, no, because the lute is unplayable and for reasons mentioned above not worth the price. $1400 is a lot of money for a prop. I would not even call it student grade. It's a nice toy.
The hard case which comes with the lute is very clunky and a poor fit. The case has no padding to accommodate the shape of the lute and the lute rattles around when inside the case, which is unhealthy for this fragile instrument.
Is it enjoyable? Again, not if you cannot play it. Though, it makes for a nice subject matter for a Renaissance themed still life.

Acoustic Bass Wonder
This bass sounds as beautiful as it looks. Fat booming lows; crisp full mids and hi's. It is very well balanced, surprisingly light, comfortable to play and features a beautifully shaped jumbo body with a fast neck and 22 jumbo frets. With the right setup it plays like an electric with a killer acoustic tone - perfect for any style - bluegrass, jazz, rock, metal, or your favorite Bach cello suite or violin partita. In any acoustic situation it will definitely hold its own. It does, however, come electrified featuring a built in three band graphic EQ preamp with gain boost and volume control, should you wish to plug in. As far as aesthetics go, the overall design comes as close to classic elegance as it gets. This particular model comes with a gorgeous decorative mother of pearl inlay around the sound hole, double purfling with herringbone on the top, and bookmatched top and back. Fantastic bass at a very affordable price.
