More junk from China to avoid

The panel is entirely plastic and degrades, blocking sunlight and preventing charging. The battery is very low quality. Ants take up residence, and moisture gets in, as it is not properly sealed. Great idea if it were a bit better quality: correctly sealed, glass over panel, decent battery that is easily user changed. Lasted several months then became landfill. Sad.

Re: MG9009 magnifying headband. Much better than my last headband, which had only one fixed lens and a single wrap-around headband which had to tightened to mild discomfort to remain on my head. With the band on top as well, holding both vertically and horizontally, the comfort here is much better. The lenses are clear with no obvious distortion and safely packed in a storage case. The light is quite bright and can be aimed accurately. Perfect for those annoying tasks where you need magnification, bright light and free hands.

You get what you pay for.

If you have the odd circlip to remove, these work fine. They are not industrial quality, but for the price, they work OK for the odd repair jobs one encounters at home. The fit and finish of the business end is a bit rough, but a bit of filing solves the problem. Don't think they would be useful in a trade setting, but then you are into $30 a pair.
