Lighter plastic than I thought, but cute and very nice.
Was really cute and does the trick. A little lighter weight than I was expecting, plastic-like. But it still looks great and so far is weathering well.

Standard Amanda Quick with all the frills
I am a fan of Amanda Quick/Jane Ann Krentz and this book did not disappoint. Full of all of the fun and fripperies of a Regency fiction novel, it added bits of mystery and humor. While I don't think it was her best work of that period, it was entertaining and engaging and the hero and heroine were both appealing.

Pretty good but not as creative
I own (and have reviewed) a number of salvage/junk market/flea market style books and this one is pretty good but I found most of the projects to be out of the range of the normal user. Requiring slate cutters and welding, most projects weren't that realistic for most people. That said, some great pictures and the projects they did do were at least interesting (loved the slate placemats) that it would be a worthy addition to your library, even if it is one that you won't look at too often.
