Not genuine as claimed
0 of 1 found this helpful This is one of the more exceptional counterfeit items I've seen but despite that it is not without flaws; it is not genuine as the item description claims and iOS will report it as a non-genuine accessory, furhermore in my case I ran into charging problems as the lightning connector will wiggle inside the lightning port causing an unstable connection. For $3 I can't really complain as I didn't expect it to be actually genuine and it worked for my purpose of getting my dead phone somewhat charged until I can find my genuine cable.

Loud
2 of 2 found this helpful It's not a bad pump if you're expecting it to be loud, which I did. I was able to silence it significantly by placing it atop (from top to bottom); a kitchen sponge, packing foam, folded up bath towel and a cinder block and then I put a 5gal bucket atop all that. I was also able to further make it quieter by sticking a venturi valve from a powerhead into the intake.
My only real complaint is that the pump doesn't come with any kind of brass hose fitting as pictured but that is easily solved by making a run to Home Depot and getting an inflation kit for $~3 in the pneumatic tools isle which should include a tapered barbed fitting that standard 3/16th aquarium tubing will fit right onto.
