Adams XTD irons

I am a teaching pro for the past 45 years and have hit many iron sets. I found the iron heads very unsolid feeling and sounding. I think Adams missed the mark on this set of heads. I pulled the KBS 7 iron shaft and installed it in a Mizuno 7 iron and it hit very well with a very solid feel and sound. I understand that club designers from Adams went to work at the new Hogan company. I hope they do a better job there. Thanks The Irish Pro

Purchase of the 506 Srixon iron

The Srixon forged iron is as good as any forged iron on the market. I have the 201, 2 sets of the 302 and I have now added a combo set of the 506 and Pro 100. These iron have such a clean look at address and the way they are designed the trajectory is very easy to control. The feel is as good are better than any forged iron I have ever hit. I have been in the golf business for over 30 years and have hit hundreds of irons. The price of the srixon iron has stayed down because the name does not get the exposure like the other major brands. I prefer the irons made by the Japan companies, always a clean look nothing goofy in their players clubs. The model 701 I really did not like as well as the older model. The shaft is so important for feel in a golf club. A to stiff or to soft will make a difference in the way it feel and the shots you hit, keep that in mind. Play golf and have a great day.
