Wonderful read. Worth the time.
I purchased this book because it was recommended in the New York Times Book Review section. The book is well written with good character and plot development. The location of the story is unique too. The story takes place during WWII and the siege of Moscow. The descriptions of the cold of Russia and the hunger which ensued from the siege and the suffering of the characters were so vividly written, that I could almost feel all the sensations. The story flows. I found it difficult to put down the book.

Good topic but too simple.
The Bracelt came recommended by a friend. The cover is beautiful and the book is readable. However, the language was too basic as if it was written for a teenager maybe and the story too cloyingly sweet and precise. I felt topic was important but not exciting enough or interesting.
