Small but extremely powerful and feature rich
This camera has many modes of operation. However, it's intelligent enough to automatically picks the correct settings for each photo when using the automatic mode. The advice on the Canon web site is very useful and easy to learn. I did have an IXUS 800 before it was stollen and I was extremely impressed with it. That's why I stayed with Canon Ixus. Clipping/trimming is very easy and, with 14.1 Mp to play with, quality is not compromised. Easily connects to a computer or tv. There are also a couple of effects i.e. fish-eye and miniture. There is also a categories filter (among others) which makes customised slide shows a cinch.
ADVICE: This is a very small camera so slipping the wrist strap on whilst in use may help prevent damage due to dropping etc.
The only down-side is that it's very small and virtually frictionless so heed advise.
CANON: a rubber or more tactile surface would help.
