A well-priced counter that does the job...

This unit proves that you don't need to spend four times as much for big-brand units. It works well and really- could it be that bad technically? Probably made by the same robots with the same components. Long-term reliability needs to be tested but so far, it is doing what it should and doing it well.

A good quality linear power supply.

This unit is a regulated linear power supply. It reduces dissipation in the series pass transistors by relay switching of transformer taps as the voltage setting is swept up. This works very well. Checking the readings on the two large digital displays shows they are very accurate and can be trusted. Noise figures are within the spec and it is capable of sourcing a genuine 5 Amps. It has an alarm function that works well i.e., when charging small batteries, if you sweep the voltage lower than the current battery voltage, it beeps to indicate a load voltage above the source voltage. For the moey, it is an excellent unit.
