Not the best album. I could live without it. It pricey since it's out of print. Not worth it in my opinion.

Ain't No Better Trucker Songs Than These!
The Legends Of Road Music, the quintessential double disc compilation of various artists performing trucker songs, is a must for any country or folk music fan. This comp has everything. From your most recognizable songs such as "Convoy" and "Six Days On The Road" to your more obscure treasures like "Pinball Machine" and my absolute favorite, "Roll Truck Roll". This comp has all the, what I call "truck driver exploitation songs" like "Teddy Bear" & "Phantom 309", to witty songs such as "I'm A Truck" and the perfectly wonderful "How Far To Little Rock", a song guaranteed to put a smile on your face. David Allan Coe took part in producing this comp, or should I say "co-produced", so be sure that you'll find a few Coe songs on the comp. Songs like Eddie Rabbit's "Driving My Life Away" and Garth Brook's "Papa Loved Momma" are covered by Coe on this comp and are both great renditions, with my favorite of the David Allen Coe songs on this comp being "Tombstone Every Mile". Expect a few "lemons", namely Minnie Pearl's "Giddyup Go Answer". That is a pretty crappy song altogether. Pearl's performance, the songs lyric content, just a recipe for disaster. Don't expect a fancy sleeve or liner notes either. Expect a case, a cover, two cd's and the song listing on the back. I give this 5 out of 5 stars for the reason that though not every single song is great(namely "Giddyup Go Answer") and the packaging is weak(never seen a various country artist compilation that sported nice packaging), but just simply because this comp has the best songs I've ever heard when it comes to trucker songs. Most of the tunes on this comp I've never heard prior to finding this gem. I feel blessed having discovered it!
