Walther's products: Top price for less than top quality.
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm going to quit buying Walter's products. They just aren't worth the price. Pieces don't fit, useless inadequate one-page instructions, poor design choices, the list goes on and on. Walthers has a huge selection of kits but what value choice if the quality isn't there?
1) Each kit says "Molded in color, no painting necessary. Actually the sub-par molding process renders the parts visually inferior. Each part MUST be painted.
2) The instructions usually consist of not much more than hand-drawn sketches with a few confusing sentences thrown in.
3) The sprew contains parts that are unnecessary and are not mentioned in the possibly flawed instructions leaving one to guess as to weather the part is needed or not.
4) Parts don't fit. For example a wall section will be not quite a 45 degree angle where it meets another wall making it impossible to joint two walls without a gap. Also, very seldom does the foundation of a structure match the size of structure itself making walls stick out over the base or forcing wall sections apart at the corners.
5) Simple design flaws cause gaps and crevasses usually in wall top and roof sections causing imperfections in the finished product that are only partially covered up using fillers.
All in all, Walter's is simply not worth the money.
