Merriam-Webster (Cor)-Merriam-Webster`S Arabic-English Dic (US IMPORT) BOOK NEW
10 April 2019
A pretty good dictionary. But if you're an absolute beginner to either language, be cautious. This might not be for you.
As a dictionary, it passes the test. But in terms of usefulness, I can find one as good as the Oxford WordPower English - English - Arabic. Here's why... First the pros: 1. Reasonable price 2. Compact size but still readable font size 3. It's got two sections. From the left, it is English - Arabic. From the right it is Arabic - English. Here's why I will not recommend it. (This has nothing to do with the seller. Rather the product). 1. It is not suitable for an absolute beginner since they won't know how to 'use' the words in context. Yes, it is true that for the Arabic-English section, it has a few usage examples or phrases but this is not really helpful. 2. They have tried to use a phonetic system that I've never seen. It's not the standard phonetic examples. So it is not of any use to me as I cannot get the exact pronunciation. This should have been simpler. 3. The pages are not the best. They look like off-white old paper. I get very tired reading it. Perhaps it's me and my colour-blindness. But I've love the pages that are brilliant white. Overall, it's a fairly good product but I can't recommend it to a serious learner. Perhaps this is only my view.

Worth the wait and cost
For a long time I searched locally for the Siwak from the Arak tree. Finally I found this one. It's really worth it.
Oxford Wordpower Dictionary for Arabic-speaking Learners of English, , Used; Goo

This is a must-have dictionary for those learning English and/or Arabic!
In my view, this dictionary is the best for those who are either learning English or Arabic. It has the English word, then the meaning (often with a suitable and simple example), followed by the Arabic terms. It's very hard to get locally.
