Pump it up.
1 of 1 found this helpful I enjoy scary movies that set a mood of dread and are creepy as opposed to slasher fare. In that respect THE WITCH fits the bill. My only problem with the film is technical: i couldn't make out much of the dialogue-not because of the English accents or the attempt to duplicate 17th century speech, but because the dialogue is recorded buried in the mix or maybe just too soft. I don't currently have a sound bar, but still... Anyhow, I did think it is a good chiller.

What a great find!
One of the records truly deserving of cult status, LUV MACHINE is an extraodinary, sometimes jaw dropping example of early 70's underground. The band was made up of a couple of expats from Barbados along with two native English players and is part psych, part bluesy Cream inspired hard rock, all mixed with a dollop of freakout. The cd is presented by Rise Above Relics in typical thourough and classy style. This recording, along with the hard to find INCREDIBLE HOG (also on Rise Above) are two of my favorite finds of obscure but great 70's rock I've been able to locate on ebay. Highly recommended!

Another unearthed treasure!
Fuzzy Duck is an intense guitar/Hammond organ driven workout by some of early Britrocks most talented players. Guitarist Graham White (who would leave to join the incredible and equally unheralded Capability Brown,lead the hard charging attack. The songs are straight up classy rock with a subtle psych/prog tint that was prevalent (and much missed!) in a lot of quality early 70's rock. The music is tasty and hard without the Metalic bombast that would soon color most newer stuff. It has a resemblance to the great unheralded band Paladin on their fantastic "Charge" release. For fans of Ginhouse, Norman Haines, and ARC. Great stuff, especially when blues rock just isn't tasty enough!
