Good value for the money.
1 of 1 found this helpful The hardware is excellent, the cameras and the DVR does the job.
But the software is not on the top, more work on it would be recommended.
For instance when you scroll on the timeline in playback mode, you can only scroll little at a time, from where it is playing to the end of the screen. You can solve this by clicking to 24 hour view if you are in 2 hour view, and click 2 hour view when you are in 1 hour view, and the same with 30 minutes.
And you can't change if you want to see the different recordings when you are playing, you have to stop the playback and click the buttons you want "Sync mode", "All", "Regular", "Alarm", "Manual", and then start the playback again. The problem is that the playback starts from the first recording of the day again, and you have to scroll forward back to where you where. This is the same if you want to go to the desktop and you want for instance look at the LOG, when you come back, you have to start from the beginning and scroll to where you where.
And the reason I want to look at the LOG, is to see what camera activated the motion detection, you can't see this in the playback, if one camera detects motion, then it shows a red marking on all cameras, this would be good also to fix in the next software update.
These problems are a bit annoying, but I can live with it for this price of the system.
One bigger problem is the motion detection because I want to use it as an alarm and send an email, the motion detection is way too sensitive even in the lowest. But maybe this is a problem for every pixel motion detection system, I haven't tested other systems. As soon as a insect flies in front of the camera 0-4 meters (depending of the size of the insect), then the motion alarm sends an email, resulting with hundreds of detection's every night in night vision. During daytime there is not the same problem. One reason that insects flies near the camera is because they are attracted to the IR light, you can solve this problem little by having another light source away from the camera.
Another way of solving this is to experiment with color settings and coaxial control of the cameras, I adjusted the contrast down and it became less sensitive to the motion of bugs, but still detects humans and cars.
But the best way to fix this problem is programming the software, and the easiest solution would be to be able to adjust detection time. When a insect flies in front of the camera, it usually takes less than a second, but when a human and car comes, then usually it is about longer times, from maybe 3 seconds. I can see start and stop times in the emails, so this could also be fixed outside the system in a server, and maybe I will look in to this later if there is no other solution, or it takes time for Anran to fix this in a update of the software.
I haven't found a good manual on how every setting is supposed to work, so I had to go through many trial end errors before understanding the software, and still I don't understand everything. I don't know if the CD contained a good manual, it seems that my CD player is broken.
So even with not a perfect software I am satisfied with this affordable system, and hopefully Anran or others fix the software problems soon, and I will give it 5 stars.

Good value with some poor quality.
Good value for the money. But they could have done it a little more stable in some points, especially where the "camera" is attached, the screw is way too short. I solved it by drilling the hole deeper and changed to a longer screw.
Another problem is also that you can't rotate the camera where it is attached. I solved this by drilling two extra holes for the guide pins.

Good working PIR
1 of 1 found this helpful I am using this with an Arduino Uno clone, and it works perfectly as expected.
The only thing is that there is no text for which potentiometer is for the sensitivity adjustment and which is for the time adjustment, but it is easy to find out.
And the text for the + - and output connections are behind the dome, but it is easy to just lift the dome and see.
