Thomas at his funniest
Nostalgic, funny, emotional. A good representation of Christmas past with a very Welsh character. And of course, Dylan Thomas's use of words; the narration itself is precious.

Conspiracy
1 of 1 found this helpful A clear and informative account of a most remarkable episode. Makes one understand the attitude and feelings of the administration of the Third Reich to "the Jewish problem". The acting is superb and chilling in its realism.
Of course, the meeting at Schwansee has been dramatised, but the documents on which it is based were quite detailed, with typical Teutonic efficiency. Overall a very believable and probably reasonably accurate re-enactment of a meeting which will "live in infamy' together with other episodes of a terrible war. One sees exactly why it was necessary for the Allies to fight this war, and describes what life would have been like had we not won. A wonderful film that everyone should see and consider the message.
