Beautifiul
This is actually a maxi single to the song THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE WORLD but the remixes are so original that you forget its the same song. If it wasnt for the lyrics it would be a cd of four new songs. BEAUTIFUL is a dance version of the main song, done so good it puts you in a different mood. STAXOWAX is a funky version of the main song. MUSTANG MIX is a r&b version of the song, my personal favorit. Tracks 6,7,and 8 are instrumental versions of Staxowax and Mustang Mix. With Mayte talking over the music on track 6. Track 7 is the main course the main song THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE WORLD. A beautiful song that gives women there props.

1999 17 years later
This 1999 is a much hyper version of the song. Well maybe thats because we heard the origional about 1,999 times. This is a well welcome additon to the song.With the original and new voices singing with him and an added rap by Doug E. Fresh. Rosario Dawson (The first time I even heard of her) adds a speech on life on the second track under the music of little red corvette. Track 3 is just another remix of the 1999 without Dez,Lisa, or Jill Jones. KEEPSTEPPIN is a rap by Doug E.Fresh. ROSIE AND DOUG E. IN A DEEP HOUSE is just that. Its a house song that features Rosie Gains skatting and Doug E. Fresh Rapping. Track 6 is a shorter version of song 1 and track 7 is the same song with no music just voices (acapella). This cd is really only an ep maxi single of 1999 the new master, and is really only for die hard fans and djs.

new funk
I dont care what people say this cd is good. Even though Princes voice is heard on one song (Lovesign) the Prince vibe is felt through the entire CD. MPLS is straight funk straight from Minniapolis. HOLLYWOOD shows George Clinton is still funky. LOVESIGN as I said has Prince dueting with Nona Gaye about spreading love in a funky way. IF I LOVE U 2NIGHT has Mayte singing a very touching smooth r&b song about holding on to the one you love. COLOR has the Steeles bring a funky gospel feel to the cd using the medephors of color to discribe moods. 2GETHER is a rap fused with jazz to advertise unity in the hood. 17 is a funky jazz instramental piece by madhouse. STANDING AT THE ALTER
is a high light of the cd. Marge Cox might be white but she has about as much soul as any black soul singer. YOU WILL BE MOVED is a bluesy song dealing with deep issues in america. A WOMENS GOTTA HAVE IT is the only song not touched by Prince but it show cases Nona Gayes sexuality in delivering a song. This cd is for boyh non and Prince fans so pick it up if you want just some good veriety of music.
