Packaging was really bad no padding no cardboard for structural support nothing just a paper envelope. I'm lucky that nothing got damaged during shipping.

Smooth transaction. Exactly as listed/pictured. Good shipping time!
If I could give this 4 1/2 stars I would, but its definitely not lower than that. I currently own a full frame 5D Mark II and this lens has EXCELLENT edge to edge sharpness/performance, to the very edges. This lens does have a little extra magenta chromatic aberration wide open with high contrast areas, but, for F1.4 and $350, you really can't ask for more. In low light cameras may have trouble focusing with this lens as F1.4 is extremely shallow. I had to send it in to Canon to be calibrated and it works better, but, still not %100. If you can learn ways around it with focusing methods, this lens is worth every penny. Stopped down to F2 or smaller and you'll have amazingly crisp, detailed images.

SX210 IS - Great point and shoot even for a pro
I am an aspiring professional, and after researching for hours for the best point and shoot camera to suit my needs, I chose the SX210. It is a fantastic all-in-one camera with fantastic per-dollar performance. It gives you tons of functions, quality, and versatility while staying tiny. The zoom is a massive 14x for a camera that easily fits in your pocket and the images are not distorted much at all considering the huge focal range. Out of all the pocket cameras that can shoot 720p video, as of June 2010, this one has the best image quality out of them all. Sony wasn't as sharp, and Panasonic's image stabilization jerks the video scene a lot.
In conclusion, it is slower in taking photos than the Sony or panasonic equivalent models, and has no GPS feature. However, if you want the most quality out of your images for prints and video, buy this camera.
Here's a comparison that should really get the point across. I use a 5D Mark II, so I know quality when I see it. I make art photography of the highest technical standards, so I want a point and shoot that is GOOD and doesn't let me down in image quality. With this camera, I actually feel OK leaving my SLR at home on days when I can't bring it with me, since this camera does a great job with enough light. The G11 is the best image quality out of all point and shoot cameras, but if you want a balance of size, zoom, and features, this is your camera.

Canon EF 24 105 F4L IS USM Lens
Starting off, the quality of the lens is what I expected, especially for a wide zoom lens. It is sturdy, the focus and zoom rings are firm but smooth, and the zoom does not creep. I use a 5D Mark II and the lens focuses fast and accurately, even in low light with dark subjects. It barely hunts even with dark subjects in low light settings of F4 @ ISO2500 @ 1/30 of a second. Autofocus results may vary as Canon cameras are known for random focusing issues, however I have a properly calibrated camera. Focusing can hunt if you aren't diligent about where to select the AF point since there is so much to focus on at wide angles. The IQ (Image quality) is very sharp, with some minor edge falloff @ 24mm-30mm. At 70mm the edges soften quite a bit at F4 but the resolution of the edges recovers more as you zoom in to 105MM. Stopping down to F5.6 or 8.0 greatly increases the consistency of resolution and is a good solution for the edge blur.
Like most lenses, this lens isn't perfect but I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10, especially for such a broad focal range. Along with the 24-70MM F2.8L, this is the best wide to standard zoom lens available for Canon cameras. I debated over buying the 24-70 F2.8 for months and I must say I am glad I did not buy it because the extra focal length and image stabilization in the 24-105 F4 give me much more benefit than the extra stop of light would have given me. If you have the same hard decision to make, I can simplify it for you. If you have a camera with poor noise quality at high ISO, or take a lot of pictures with movement, for events such as indoor weddings, buy the F2.8 lens. Anything else, buy the F4 lens, it is much more versatile and weighs a pound less.

This is the lens to own if you could only choose one lens, and I am not alone in this opinion!
