New Life to an old guitar!
3 of 3 found this helpful I was surprised by how well made this neck is for the price. I installed it on an old guitar for a friend. He just wanted to bring his old bass back to life to use as a back up. The cost to refret and replace the nut would have ended that hope. I had to modify the neck pocket on the guitar but once the neck was in place there was very little I had to do besides action set up and intonation. The frets needed minor finishing on the fret edges to smooth out the cheese grater effect. The frets for the most part were level and dressed well enough. I found only 2 frets that were slightly low with a fret rocker. I just left them as is because it was acceptable. This turned out to be a nice project with minimal cost. The guitar plays great and looks even better with a rosewood fretboard.

Great Sounding, Lightweight Speaker
I wanted something lightweight to carry to rehearsal and gigs but it had to sound good too. I currently own an Egnater Renegade 212 combo amp. It's a great amp but just too heavy. I had a head cabinet made and transferred the amp chassis to the cabinet. This give me a powerful amp that is much easier to carry. This Rebel 112x matches up with the power rating of my Renegade head so it makes the whole setup much more compact. The speaker is a sealed back unit with a bass port vented to the front panel. The sound is very articulate and punchy with plenty of bass response. I'm still in the breaking in period and trying it in different positions. I tried it at a gig recently and the sound seem to thin out a bit on stage but it was a quick set up with no time to tweak. It was plenty loud as it was tilted back at me on a stand, it cut through really well, no problem hearing it on stage. I play with two other guitar players so being able to hear yourself is always a challenge. In my practice studio at home and at rehearsal it is exactly what I was looking for. For stage I still need to evaluate the sound and try it on the floor instead of a stand. So far so good though. It's built like a tank and looks great too. I would recommend this speaker to others.
