4K 60 and much, much more!
A gigantic leap forward from my old Canon 7D. Just about anything you would want in a mirrorless camera this camera has at an astonishing price. Pics look fantastic, and video is razor sharp even when shooting in 1080p. 4K video quality is almost beyond belief at this price point, and the ability to shoot 4K 60 outdoes competitors at 3x the price. Are there limitations to be aware of, especially in comparison to the GH5? Yes:
* 4K 60 has a recording limit of 10 minutes
* All other recording modes (4K 24, 1080 60, etc) have a recording limit of 29 minutes
Even with those limits, the G9 is a tremendously capable camera at this price point. If you're new to DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, or looking to transition out of some old gear into a smaller form factor, this is a great place to start.
