I would absolutely recommend any Definitive Technology product to a friend
1 of 2 found this helpful Not sure what I could say that hasn't already been said. It's loud and sounds good. And I mean, it's loud and I've never had it up past half!! For me it is best to have the sub around a foot away from the wall. This gives the best dynamics. At first I had it 4 inches from the wall but all bass sounded too low and muffled. (bass gets trapped between wall and sub) Now when I listen to music, the mix is perfect. (You could also try 6 inches, 8 inches, 10 inches from wall)

I'd buy these again. They look and sound nice.
Hey, I sort of saw one bad review for these speakers so I thought I'd write one. First things first, I have a Yamaha RX-A3010 receiver and I used the mic and auto set everything. The speakers sounded funny and muffled after the set up. And I had it like that for like a week thinking the break-in process would help. I read the manual and it said to make sure the speakers are set to Flat (eq) ... I did that and they sound really good. Like I said, I have 3 pair. I'm using one pair for front presence, one pair for surround and the other pair is split; one speaker for back surround and one speaker for center channel. I know, funny but I spent like $8000 on my system and thought I'd wait to spend another $1000 on a center channel. Suppose I'll share the rest of the system. I have Supercube Reference subs (14" 1800 watts -- my goodness, way too much power for what I need (oh well lol) ... and BP8B Floor standing speakers, all DT. Fun system to listen to, Sounds better everyday.
