Locas has something for everybody: great art, lucha libre, punk, and characters that grow.
This edition of Locas is much nicer than the smaller paperback versions that came out later. The cover design is perfect, it really shows what this story is about - Maggie and Hopey's friendship. As far as the content - Locas is one of the best comics I've ever read. It's funny, charming, scary, and poignant. Jaime Hernandez' art is perfect. It evolves as the series goes on, as do the characters. That's what I love most about this series - the character's grow, they age, they change. It's heartwarming to grow along with them. There's plenty of Lucha Libre and Punk in here as well. It has something for everybody! It might be hard to find this book now, but if you can - pick it up toot sweet!
