"I'd like a BRA Beck Moby David Holmes Combo please."
It's an album which you might find a tad difficult to make enough sense of, or outline anything special about it. Any element out of any track that's dying to be heard by human ears, but in my case, something deep inside persuaded me to grasp it.
It fortunately didn't take me long before I came to a simple conclusion on the best way to describe "Drum Major!", and that would be Bentley Rhythm Ace, Beck, Moby and David Holmes moulded together, so if you're already into these artists (I know I am for one), you shouldn't have much problem getting into this album.
Highlight tracks include "Your Life Is Like A Concert", "Schlaffenwagonnet", and my personal favourite, "Universe". If you're still not interested, I'd recommend you check out the EP to Drum Major, "Your Life Is Like A Tony Conrad Concert" out on CD and 12".
