Dreams? Dreamscapes? Reality? Waking Life?
Defiantly a must watch for those people whom are interested in dreams, dreamscapes and generally what is this (life) all about. Each scene is rotoscoped (animated) by a different artist and this change on perspective from scene to scene keeps the film interesting start to finish. This is a film not about story line or character development. It's more of a "docu-drama" where concepts and theories are chucked to and through in the guise of a drama. This will make you think and you will take away from this. *The rotoscoping style is personal to each artist, so while some scenes are almost to the quality of "A Scanner Darkly", others fall quite short. *Naturally with some of the topics approached here a second watch may be necessary to fully grasp certain aspects of the film. *The film is deep and also scattered with technical terms, while I believe most are explained some might not be and may require additional time to look into if you don't understand. One of the best/most interesting films I've seen, defiantly an underrated masterpiece.
