Ouran High School Host Club series
I decided to buy this series after I watched the Anime, which is based on the mangas. The characters are amusing and each has a special quirk to their personalities, and it's fun exploring their emotions and experiences. The scenarios are also very fun and enjoyable and there are always surprises to be had in the 'Host club'. The characters are what really makes the series work though. Haruhi is a different type of heroine, not in the least bit girly, and the lead Male hero is actually a bit of a drama King, so in that way, male and female roles are reversed, frequently in fact. It's both funny and endearing, and what often seems like silliness at first gradually begins adding layers and asking more deep questions, analyzing the characters' personal issues more and more, which gives the series and it's protaganists the depth and understanding that you get after getting to know someone new in real life. In that way, it is realistic, despite being completely off the wall otherwise. A love triangle or possibly even a square does develop, so be prepared for typical teen romance scenarios to ensue, with the female character being trapped in the middle, and so far, completely unaware of her affect on her male friends. The series never delves too dark, but instead maintains a good balance between drama and humor, while being able to also discuss more serious issues, such as choosing between friends and family, death or separation from a parent, or the pressures of growing up under a demanding home life. I also like the stark contrast between poor girl Haruhi and all the rich kids at her school, and the way the culture is so different between classes. It gives perspective in ways most might over look, or see as the grass being greener on the other side when really, everything gained or lost comes with a price. It's a good study about character and choices and dealing with typical circumstances that is both hilarious and heart felt, and which I recommend to anyone who loves manga.

Cute, very fun to pose
I had Snape (love him), so of course I had to get Harry. These are the best dolls. Good quality for the price, just as fun as more expensive collectibles. Lots of articulation and details. Great for kids, but also fun for adult fans who grew up with the series like me.

Lots of fun
I really wasn’t expecting to like this doll that much, but as soon as I got him in the mail I found him to be delightful. He has a lot of detail and articulated parts. His hands are soft and his clothes are quite nice. I like the buttons. I’ve had more fun with him than I anticipated I would. The best part was sitting him on the stair rail and my sister being surprised to see Snape there when she touched him without seeing him first. I would definitely get more of these dolls.
