I have been collecting British Royalty Commemoratives since I was 22 years of age. I am now retired but I worked for
a large oil company and my job required travelling to different cities in the United States. I would always try to add
a couple of days to my business trip and this allowed me to visit antique malls searching for royalty and political
commemoratives (mugs, plates, jugs, cups and saucers). I was born and raised in Dumfries, Scotland. I received
my very first royalty commemorate when I was 13 years of age and attending high school. Close to the coronation
of Queen Elizabeth I arrived at school and found a coronation beaker ( mug without handles) on my desk. This
was a gift from the local school district to all children 12 years of age and older. I still have this beaker today.
