Can't do without my DLC-8
The plastic housing on my overworked, mid 1980's Japanese made Cuisinart broke. The base housing is not a replaceable part so I replaced it with a gently used base from the same era. This will now outlast me. Is it durable? After 35 years of continued use I think it's safe to say yes. And if the design wasn't tops I'd have opted for something newer. Cleaning the part has to be done by hand because they aren't dishwasher safe. I can live with that.
