the best songs of one of pops most outstanding male singers
Ocean's voice is so smooth and rich with a wonderful accent that combines the Caribbean with London. It holds up very well compared to other R&B/Pop singers. This collection contains most of his best songs plus some excellent new covers.
Admittedly, a few of the songs don't hold up as well. The neo Motown songs are great. Then there is oceans prime in the mid 80s. Loverboy, carribean queen, etc. later ocean followed trends to a bad place. But even then you get his incredible voice.

One of the best recordings of Beethoven's symphonies
This is one of the most well-reviewed recordings of Beethoven's symphonies and it lives up to its reputation. Compared to Karajan's other excellent recordings from the '70s and '80s, it's a little bit more raw and spontaneous sounding, with a rounder, brassier sound that isn't dated even though it was recorded in the early '60s. Reviewers seems to grudgingly rate this '60s set high because of their distaste for Karajan and his persona -- and it's actually even better than often reviewed. The 5th and 7th beat Carlos Kleiber's and the 9th blows away Bernstein and Furtwangler.
