Good model but can be improved
When this model locomotive was bought second hand it was in running order but was very noisy,. Even after lubrication there was little improvement. This seems to be typical of some of these models but certainly not all. I have quite a few of these particular models and the majority run smoothly and quietly.
To be fair some attempt had been made by the previous order of this model to improve its running qualities by introducing some tape under the motor. After fitting a new motor and removing all tape and fitting a DCC decoder the locomotive now runs perfectly.

Catch this train
Very good product which was purchased new at a very good price. Would certainly recommend the purchase of this product which can be easily upgraded at low cost to the latest standard of the similar item being currently produced by the same manufacturer. Bargain

chrome plated finish good
I Didn't like the difference in the width of the surrounding raised edge, and it did not look right on the new vehicle. This difference was not evident in the advertised product before purchase. Otherwise ok considering the attractive price compared to other number plate surrounds.
