Save money on Boost cards

The cost of replacement battery makes this a terrible choice for a bike light.
Battery is replaceable but have to buy a Moon battery at around $45 a pop. They reckon the battery lasts 3 years but only give them a 3 month warranty. That's in the really small fine print which you have to go hunting for. The 3 year comment is readily marketed.
They don't mention anywhere that the battery is a special one. You can't just shop for a better value non-genuine part. You must buy from them.
My battery lasted only 8 months after being used for short rides 2 - 3 times a week.
If your battery fails every 3 months (outside warranty) or fails every 8 months this is a very bad deal.
