I was concerned.
If you do some research on the snowblower you will see the last date of manufacturing was about 5 years ago. That means that they have been in a warehouse for 5-10 years. Has it been beat around? Is there oil in it? Should I be concerned about the tires and belts being rotten?
None of these should be a worry. My blower arrived in great shape, though a little dirty. I expected a bit of dust from sitting in a warehouse and freight truck. Give it a little cleaning during assembly if you need it to be spotless.
I checked the oil and gave it a good inspection making sure that the spark plug was tight before firing it up with good clean gas. After a few EASY pulls it was alive and ready to eat. I was not kind to this machine. I had some show banks that needed to be moved. The thing chewed up the hardened snow/ice. It wasn't easy on either one of us, but we minced up a couple of tons of the crusty stuff in a couple hours.
This thing is a beast!!! I recommend this machine and it is a great value.
