Not happy with this transaction. I failed to ask a very important question of the seller. I should have been tipped off by the complete lack of " powered on " photos on the seller's page. Now my having paid for a unit that has EXACTLY the problem I have in my identical unit at home. Seller never lied or misrepresented, just omitted some important information. Buying electronics on eBay is often a crap shoot, with many times it being just crap.

The unit worked well when plugged into the other three components. I would be happy to ship you those other components for free. Then, you can replace them one at a time to isolate the fault. I won't be able to ship, however, until after Christmas.

Best keyboard for old hands.

It has the control and escape keys in the correct place for old timers like me. Better to stop a program with control-C than to wrongly caplock and enter a capital C.

Eay to use, runs linux.

This is an excellent product that provides a single console connection. A search of the web found instructions how to set it up. I gave it a fixed IP number, and set up ssh keys so I could ssh into it by host name whenever I needed. You access the console port with: telnet localhost 7001 Like I said, small and easy to use.
