Very comprehensive.

Recon Scout...................
A personal story about an individual soldier, about the guts of war and not a macro overview by a
historian. The author narrates the struggles and conflicts of an individual, the risks and losses, the
tremendous courage it takes to survive. Recon soldiers are often tasked to do more dangerous
missions than individual unit soldiers that are 'manning the line.' This book has great insights to
the mechanics of modern warfare, at the individual level. We will never be able to adequately
repay those who have served so well and so much. Jay D....

Read it for numerous insights....
Excellent insights into civil war intelligence creation and use. Also there is abundant information about
the intelligent creators, especially Gen. Sharpe and his unique character. This is an unsung story of
importance, hidden by time and the very nature of the intelligence service....
