well this is stupid to have to do this to send a review - Thumbs down now - how bout that
so far so good I like it -the only reason I gave It a 4 is that I have not had it long enough

my bad
very difficult to use - in fact i have not even been able to get it to work period
Poor instructions would not advise the even minor investment

not good
this is no fault of the seller bought to replace a new failed unit did not use will not use will not return will not resell
i had 7 out of 10 fail or continually false alarm, hush button does not work, and i have championed kidde for years.
not in this case fortunately i got all of my money back sans the extra one i bought in error do not ask i will not even give it away. one false alarm from one of them causing all of them to go off caused a premature delivery for a lady.
i would caution you to be careful with this particular unit. i replaced all of them with first alert units even the ones in my own home.
