Great Trimmer, But Replacement Battery Cost Too High
It's a great trimmer, powerful and effective, well-balanced when the handle is positioned in the right place, and long enough for tall people so that they don't have to bend over at the waist to use it. Line feed works great, unlike some products in this price range. The reason I sent it back though, is that the cost of a replacement battery was around $150, which is one-and-a-half times what I paid for the whole outfit, trimmer, charger, and battery. That makes no sense at all. Since the battery is usually the first thing to fail on these trimmers, I considered that a very important factor. I was able to find another trimmer (not the same brand) for the same price that was brushless, had a bump head, and the cost of a replacement battery was in the $30 range. The trimmer performed actually better because the bump head was dual-string, the brushless motor provided more power and promised more longevity, and with less expensive replacement batteries, it simply made a lot more sense. I hated returning this product because it worked so well and was so comfortable for me to use, but I had to go with the lower cost-of-ownership. I'm not into this planned obsolescense stuff, or this throw-away society mentality. When I invest in a product, I want to be able to keep it going for the long term without having to buy a new one.

It's a Waste of Money
1 of 2 found this helpful I should have taken the term, "lightweight" in the description more seriously. The leather is paper-thin. I've never even seen leather that paper-thin before. But the MAIN problem is, the hat was shipped in a light paper-thin plastic envelope, which means that the hat got squashed and crushed 30 ways from Sunday during shipping, so it arrived a wrinkled, mangled mess. Everything would be fine if it wasn't crushed and wrinkled so badly. It doesn't look good when worn because of the fact that it's so wrinkled and out-of-shape. And I don't know if there's a way to get wrinkles out of leather, I don't think it's possible. If they had taken measures to make the hat keep its shape and remain unwrinkled during shipping, I'd be happy with the product, but it's so mangled that now I'm stuck with a hat that I will never wear because it looks so bad. I thought about using it as a toy for my dog, having tugs of war with it, but then again, the chemicals used for coloring the thing would probably be harmful to the dog. So now, I'll either throw it away or donate it to the homeless shelter. Then again, the homeless shelter employee will probably get all angry and up in my face, saying, "what do you think, just because someone's homeless that they want to go around wearing mangled, wrinkled hats? Aren't you the person who brought them those bags of muffin stumps to eat a few years ago?"
