The Leo Genius

Leo got it right, again. This is supposed to be the guitar Leo Fender would have eventually built if he had stayed the course and never sold Fender to CBS. While the Strat is a great instrument It is somewhat cheaply built by today's standards. Not inexpensively built but, made with less than top grade products. While not everyone may agree on this point, the G&L S500 is made strong, plays clean and has a more substantial feel and sound than a typical currently produced Strat. Pickguard, tremolo, knobs, tuners, pickups, frets, toggle, and tone are all improvements over what currently passes for a Strat. Fender Musical Instruments have lots of take offs on the original version of the Strat. As if they are constantly searching for a holier grail combination of parts and styles. G&L does it differently by sticking to what really works with proprietary quality, American ingenuity, and by letting the musician make the difference. The S500 is easy to play everywhere. Tons of tone, fast neck, pickup options, reliable hardware, stunning looks and great feel make the G&L S500 an awesome instrument and musical tool!
