Collets fit better than the competitors
These Sowa tap collets always fit great, I have had bad luck with other brand (techniks) tap collets not fitting. Made in India, packaged fine, shipped fast.

Good quality vise, may need to match pairs
The Shars branded 1" grinding vises are packaged nicely and oiled in their packaging cleanly. I was pleased with the overall quality. I bought three vises at once, but none were a precision match to each other. Two were close (0.001"), but one had a tapered grind to the "shelf". The third was different by 0.040" in shelf height. But all three were pretty close in rear jaw thickness (for aligning the three together). I therefore have to match grind all three in height, and while I'm at it it should only take a minute to match grind rear jaw thickness. Overall I'm pleased at the quality for the price, but just don't assume they're matched.

Excellent tool for use in the machine shop. Good for removing hair thin burrs and also for buffing surfaces.
