Like Sifting Water
We have several litter boxes and sifting them multiple times each day was not only time consuming but hard on the back having to bend over. I started with the plastic sifters that you can pick up anywhere, but the handles always broke or they sifted poorly. Then I graduated to the steel sifter sold at Wal Mart and other big stores. I went through two steel sifters because the handle came off the first one. The steel sifters were preferable to the plastic ones, but they were slow to sift and cleaning the boxes took several minutes. I felt like I was spending my life sifting litter boxes. Then came this little jewel.
This is handsdown the best sifter around. The design allows the clean litter to easily fall away while capturing even the small chunks of soiled litter. Before I can raise the sifter 4 inches out of the litter it has done it's job with little or no shaking. Perhaps it is the Teflon coating, but this sifter glides through the little with much less effort than the plastic or metal sifters. The handle is comfortable. The construction is very solid. I use the Fresh Step type granulated litter. Very pleased with this product.
