Kinda Worth It
Once you get used to its various quirks, it's reasonably useable.
You must get used to a 1 second press to turn it on and a one second press to turn it off .... and remember which one you did as there's precious little info from the device if you press the button several times because it appears to be doing nothing.
The app crashed on two separate devices and I had to reinstall it when it just did nothing for ages (a bit annoying having to use mobile data to do that).
The good side is now I'm fairly adept at using it it's a valuable backup tool whilst on holiday. You can also use it as a single connection to a hotel wifi and connect several devices through it to the Internet, although it's hardly fast doing that ... but adequate.
I tried to scroll through a few uploaded pics over its wifi but it crashed the app every time, so now I just use it for backup and I'm reasonably happy with it.
