This mouse is overwhelming at first
Please note this is after a SINGLE day of playing with it, if you want to know what you are getting from the get-go. I can already tell it's going to be a lot of hours of death match to really get the feel for this mouse. Seeing as I am not particularly used to a higher quality mouse that glides over a mouse pad friction-less. This one has independent X and Y settings which I can tell after I get the hang of it will be extremely useful in pre-fire situations for headshots. I started it out with no weights... it seemed really light and hard to control. All weights it was almost too heavy, so I am down to 2 weights. I was excited about the side molded pinky grip; however, if you are in a panic and pick up your mouse after a little while your pinky might suffer the consequence. The macro functions are pretty nice as I you can literally change ANY button, I was assuming that Lift, Mode, and DPI switch would be static, but it is indeed not, so you are free to program those if you have a mode that that you want those extra two-four buttons. The lift button, as other people have stated in all the reviews I read, doesn't really seem to make a difference? None, so far that I can tell. The mode function is pretty awesome and having 4 dpi settings available for every mode means you can set 20 different combinations of X and Y dpi. The soft texture or whatever it is on the is definitely a let's grab any oils that may be on your skin, hopefully this isn't signs that the finish on the top will wear easily. The braided cord is my least favorite aspect of this whole mouse, it's extremely stiff. This is annoying if you have the cord going over an edge close to it as it can sometimes pull the mouse when your hand is not on it. So, if you get this mouse be prepared to try and wear it in so that it allows more free movement of the mouse. Pros: -- Price point with every option you never even thought you wanted or needed to try. -- Separate modes; with EVERY button completely programmable. -- Literally friction-less; with exception of the cord that is positioned so low it can drag on your surface. Cons: -- Super overwhelming at first sight and use. -- Lift button doesn't seem to do anything? -- Pinky side grip is super uncomfortable to me.

Good budget mouse pad
This is a great mouse pad for those who really don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a mouse pad. I haven't really used it much yet, but I mostly bought this because my old competition mouse pad got lost in a move. However, it's a big upgrade from the binder I was using! I can definitely notice that the mouse stops where it should when playing Counter-Strike; however, I am using a crap mouse while I wait for a new on in the mail. I really can't tell why this is better than your normal mouse pad. I really liked my old one that was kind of glossy and cleanable. Pros: --> Price is great. --> Definitely will suit well with a good mouse. --> Feels like my mouse is tracking a bit easier. Cons: --> Cloth; not really cleanable, less you want to take the risk of separating the layers. --> With a lower end mouse the difference is noticeably significant; however, with a higher end mouse, I think this would perform just as well as any other mouse pad. (I might be wrong, though.) --> Color; I got the black mouse pad... it definitely shows any little specs it has picked up in the only day of use. So, if that bugs you find a less dark color.
