A smooth running locomotive
This N scale Kato EMD SD40-2 is a fine locomotive! It works very well with DC power, and is "DCC ready" when I am ready to take that step. A couple of small quibbles: the trip pins are not installed on the couplers, and the number boards also need to be installed, but it is a VERY good piece of n scale machinery. Excellent pickup, and very slow speeds possible, even in DC. A last note, it is cool to have a locomotive (in n scale nonetheless) that I actually see in real life (Wisconsin & Southern livery)! I recommend this to anyone who models or is interested in this type of loco.

Great re-reiler!
Works well as a re-railer. Option to have what looks like a platform on one side, so you might be able to use that in your modeling. Does not look too much like a North-American prototype, but it is from Japan!
