This is Written by the acknowledged Historian expert in this Period and about the events described.There exists a false web-entry that misquoted this work.So, see this for yourself.The True History enumerated herein is far more stunning than any Fiction.And, an easy read ....Here is mentioned the exploits of the Elderly Chief Rabbi of Amsterdam...who set sail with his Fleet of Ships as CaptainAdmiral against the Inquisition .This even shows a Columbus (who established the only place on Earth where the Inquisition was " Banned forever from ever setting foot" and )who actually insisted on treating Honorably with all Native Leaders, yet betrayed by his own men, has carried through history the burden of the actions&betrayals of the very men who sought his life.There is more about these mentioned & more about many others ,all carefully annotated ....in a flowing text.

Timely ,though a classic.
This is a work of art by actors and writers who put their careers on the line because they believed in our human rights enough to fight Anti-Semitism and bigotry at a time when it was not Politically correct to do so .At a time when French Jews are afraid to allow their children to walk the streets of France as before,and when some members of the Jewish communities here in the U.S. walk in fear, This is a reminder that Evil must be countered by those of Good Will.
This work is as important now as then for its grant of hope in the Humanity of the Individual to G-d fearing families at this time of the upsurge in Antisemitism here and abroad.
