more noise but more music

I have heard a number of Kinds of Blue in recent 20 years. I have a four different editions in my discory (compared to library). Last time I heard a 50 years edition compared to SACD. The first more tamed, regular, less noisy but... SACD hissing brings more information, deeper sound, better bass. Saxes sound completely natural and tempting in articulation, a trumpet so full-bodied. I have to return to this cd again when I have a chance. CD Player - Ayon 35 Special Edition, Amplifier - Ancient Audio Silver Grand Mono Blocks, Sonus Faber Electa Amator, cables by Siltech and Acrolink.

Back to the trunk. John in the early seventies in action.

It is a way back in the early seventies when John shared the stage with a couple of eminent American players. Some glimpses of a few (I think three) concerts were caught up on the tape. Though the quality of the sound is not satisfactory and some tracks are even faded out, the climate and authenticity of the events are worth a while and money spent.

Especially SACD mode played on a state of the art player in the High End configuration brings sensitivity of performance, fullness and deepness of voices and richness of old fashioned instruments. Even on a cd player this performance compaared to older ones from the 90's showcases much better sound quality.
