Minolta AF Macro 100mm f/2.8 Sony A-mount
The Minolta 100mm f2.8 lens is a relatively old optical design. It is sharp from the full aperture in the frame center with slightly less sharp edges. The longitudinal chromatic aberration is quite strong, which is visible in some shooting situations. However, this macro lens has a special feature that distinguishes it from other lenses of this type. When you increase the reproduction scale, the focal length of the lens does not shorten - which is an unpleasant trick used by virtually all manufacturers of macro lenses.
So in practice a 100 mm lens set on a 1: 1 scale has a focal length of about 70 mm. This has an effect on the blurring of the background and the working distance.
