Sounds great in a dsl40c
Started upgrading my 40c. First put in a new v30 speaker, then some put new JJ el34s in. Changed all the preamp tubes with Tung sol ax7s. C19 mod and c4 mod. Everything sounded great except the red channel was still to much fizz. Changed the v2 with the jj5751 and it put the red overdrive channels 1 and 2 right where they need to be. Still plenty on gain for hard rock and metal. Maybe not enough for the hardcore drop d newer metal but it’s plenty for sabbath and similar bands.

Good tubes
Surprisingly cut down on some of the high gain hum on my Marshall 40c. They have a little less bite than the stock Marshall ecc83 tubes. But they do sound a little better to me.
