*ALMOST* perfect item!
3 of 3 found this helpful Japanese and English audio, English Subtitles (which rarely do not display properly, or at all), rare instances of digitised pixel interference during playback of a few movies - Spirited Away has about half of one second cut out during a "backdrop" scene (on my example). Picture quality appears not quite as optimal as it could be for a DVD (probably owing to longer video content per disc), disc label art is very attractive, disc menus are plain and straightforward (except - I *think* - on one, which can confuse non-Japanese literate viewers), good sound quality, beautiful box art, movies are not precisely in the order stated on the box, but are correct to each disc. Would have been nice to perhaps had a folding poster in the box (NOT a criticism, just my own thoughts :)). Have difficulty establishing whether or not DVDs are pirated considering (very rare) faults - this slightly marrs the whole experience. For the money (£20.89 in 2018), most certainly a VERY satisfactory purchase - once you have ACTUALLY gone through and watched all 18 movies, you will certainly be assured of this. Would have been nice to have the rest of the collction (up to 2014), but it is understandable why they couldn't be supplied (video quality down / disc quantity up). Item dispatched immediately, in cellophane wrapper. Ideal gift to introduce someone to Studio Ghibli - not quite for the most inquiring critic!
